K, C, and I all did a mini concert for my parents.
We played Star of the County Down and Congress Reel, two traditional Irish pieces. (We also played Rights of Man, another traditonal Irish piece, but we didn't get a video of that because the camera ran out of space)
Well, here's the video of our exploits:

K and C Visit
K playing with my dolls:

C playing violin:

All of us with our instruments...K doesn't really play the recorder well, but it was the only instrument she somewhat plays, other than the piano. She was attempting to play my bodhran...but she really ought to have a 14" or 16" one instead of a 18".

I took this adorable shot of C and K...I suppose that the photography book really was right, be prepared to take pictures of the unexpected...not just the posing ones. :-)

The instruments. We made quite a lot of noise earlier...but in reality, it didn't sound too bad. K kept the beat on the bodhran and Charity played the violin, and I worked on keeping up with the guitar.

Cedar Point
Dad and I went to Cedar Point last Saturday.
Cedar Point sign on the interstate:
Rainy view of Cedar Point from the Space Spiral
The Froghopper...this was my favorite ride back in the days when I was short enough to go on it:
The Matterhorn...I almost went on this but then my stomach didn't feel very good. Turns out it was because all I had had for lunch was half a cinnamon pretzel and a bag of cotton candy. Hardly the most healthy snack. I had a hamburger and some water and that made me feel better.
Sky Ride (cable cars) sign.
Cable Cars:
Dad:
Wave Swinger:
I'm the one waving:
Sepia-toned picture of the ferris wheel
Ferris wheel again:
Cedar Point skyline:
I got some videos too, but Blogger wouldn't load them for some reason. If I can get it to work though, I'll post them later.

Laylie arrived!
My new A Life of Faith doll, Laylie Joyful Colburt arrived on Friday. I was waiting for a day that didn't have 50mph wind or hard, hammering rain to take pictures though. :-) I came up with the middle name "Joyful". I liked it better than just plain "Joy."

All my A Life of Faith dolls - from L>R - Laylie Joyful Colburt, Kathleen Talitha McKenzie and Violet Victoria Travilla.

A Better Video of me playing my Bodhran
Dad showed me how to take a video using our camera, and so I had Mom take a video of my playing my bodhran. The sound and picture quality is better than that of my phone. I also now know how to play it the way it's supposed to be played...while my voice teacher was getting married and on her honeymoon, I took bodhran lessons from a friend. So now I know how to REALLY play it. :-)

Maidens IV Concert at Johnny Appleseed Outdoor Amphitheater
Maidens IV had a concert yesterday at Johnny Appleseed Outdoor Amphitheater, which is about 10 minutes from our church. I would've liked to go, but I assumed we weren't going since it would involve coming home from church, and then driving back just a couple hours later. But on the way home from church, Dad said, "So, do you want to go the Maidens concert tonight?" And I say, "Sure!"
Follow this link to go to a online scrapbook album I made of some of the pictures I took:

Also, a prayer request, could you please keep the next-to-eldest Maiden, Heather (she's wearing the blue high-waisted dress in the pictures) in your prayers? She is pregnant, and she is having back problems, so you can bet that it isn't easy to perform, especially the dancing and the jumps when you're pregnant and in pain. Thank you! :-)
