Wedding

We had a wedding today. It was a young woman from our church and her fiancee.
I had a long list of pictures I wanted to post, so this is actually not very many considering the list I had. :-) Sorry some of them aren't very good. :-/
I caught the bouquet too! :-)

This is Miciah, their little son. He had his own tuxedo! He was so adorable.

Scrapblog

Scrapblog (www.scrapblog.com) is having a promotion where if you put one of their little badges on your blog or website that you can get 15% off prints that you make on Scrapblog.
I don't think I'll ever use the prints, but I put the badge on here anyway...scroll down to see it. It's underneath the Etsy thing.
The square badge is a link to the main Scrapblog page and the smaller banner badge underneath is a link to my scrapblogs.
By the way, Scrapblog is a online scrapbook maker. :-)

I got me a clock!

Don't know what time it is? Never fear! Scroll down a bit and on my sidebar you'll see a spiffy new clock!

Anna and Heather say Happy Snow Day!

So I dashed outside yetserday for about 5 minutes for a quick photo shoot with Anna and Heather. (Anna is my mom's doll, by the way) They didn't turn out great because A. I was in a hurry and B. it was windy. But oh well.

Meet my new doll :-)

My Twinn (www.mytwinn.com) is having a big sale on their "Friend" dolls. They are pre-made My Twinn dolls...ones that look like the custom ones you can get but you don't design them...they come pre-made.
They've been 20% off, 30% off, 40% off and now 50% off. I just couldn't pass up the deal of a My Twinn doll for $40-$50. (The friend dolls are normally $80-$100, but a customized My Twinn doll is $150. So it's a pretty good deal to get one of these dolls for $40).
So here is the one I picked out:

I just bought her, so she won't be here for a week or so, plus I have to pay Mom before I can have her (Mom bought her, but I have to pay Mom before I can have her).
I'm really excited!

Sick and Snow

*sigh* I'm sick. I don't know where I got it, but I've got a stuffy/runny nose and my head's a bit sore. At least my sore throat went away. We were planning to go thrift shopping today...I'm glad it got moved to Thursday so I have two more days to get better. :-)

And I promised snow in the title so here it is...

Samaratin's Purse/Operation Christmas Child Get-together

My bible study group had a get-together to pack shoeboxes for OCC today. We also made cookie dough to freeze and save for Christmas time (which then we will bake the cookies)

Packing shoeboxes:

Pile on Gracie! Somehow, Gracie (she has a grey sweatshirt and glasses on so you can identify her in the picture) seems to be the first choice if we ever want to pile on top of anybody. I don't know why. I know it sounds crazy. But we are crazy, LOL! At least when we are all put together.

Cowgirl Skirt...take 2!

I had more cowboy fabric leftover from the other cowgirl skirt I made so I made another one...this one shorter and with a pocket.

I'm on a sewing spree right now because I cleaned up the craft room and now I feel more motivated to sew. :-) Some of the things I'm sewing are christmas presents, which I can post becaue the recievers of the presents might read my blog. :-)

I'm public!

Just thought I'd let ya'll know that Mom gave me permission to make my blog public, so you don't have to log in anymore everytime you come.

Win 1 of 3 quilts!

Yup, Old Barn Co. is having another quilt giveaway. This time it's for three quilts, so there are three winners!

Jess's Cowgirl Skirt

I found this fabric at Joann's in the clearence and I bought a 1/4 yard and made this cowgirl skirt for Jess:

Baby Shower

Here's some pictures of the baby shower I mentioned in the previous post:

We played a game in which you had to talk on a cell phone, pretend to stir something in a bowl and get a baby dressed...all at once. Here's the mom-to-be doing it...(sorry it's a bit blurry.)

Here's the mom-to-be opening the presents!

Diaper Cake

I made this diaper cake for a friend's baby shower!

I used a video on YouTube for instructions. It's a three-tiered "cake" made out of rolled diapers. There are bottles in the center, and I wrapped it in tulle.

First babysitting venture!

I babysitted for the first time! Well, Mom was there so it she was there to help out, but I still got paid for it! I babysitted Boston, who is the son of a young man who used to babysit me a while ago. :-)

Here's a video of Mom playing with him:

Updating Posts...

Well, I'm sorry I haven't posted for a while. I didn't realize how long it's been. :-/ So the next few posts will be updates on what's been happenin'. :-)
And, as you see, I have a new background...I got it from www.cutestblogontheblock.com. I might change it around a lot now...it's a lot more fun than the plain old green that I had here before!
