Ye Grande Olde Flood

To start off, I do not ever remember a time that we and the surrounding area have been flooded this much. This is pretty amazing. I actually didn't get pictures of Medina, but suffice it to say when we driving home from in town, just about every yard and every field we passed looked like our pond. I was babysitting in Medina during the storm. In 20 minutes, we got about 2 inches of rain plus hail. It thundered, rained, lightening-ed, and finally hailed. It was dark as midnight...really scary! And the 2-year-old I was babysitting was less scared than I was! :-P

The end of our street/neighbor's yard:

The pond was up and over. The water runs off a dip down to the ditch.

Yech, another grey and rainy day today. So only one good pciture and one over-exposed picture today because it was too cold and rainy to take any more. This was my church outfit today.

Skirt - Meijer (can also be bought at Kohl's, as I discovered afterwards.=)

Feelin' Feminine Spring Challenge - Day 3

The Feelin' Femine challenge is a challenge to wear a skirt or dress every day for 7 days. It is hosted by Bramblewood Fashion and started by Feelin' Feminine.

I LOVE my outfit for today. I just got the shirt from Kohl's. Doesn't it look delightfully Victorian/Vintage-y?

Sorry about the somewhat rumpled appearence. It was really windy!

I think I like it better with just the locket, not the lock and key necklace, don't you think?

Earrings are from one of my mother's favorite Etsy shops.

I didn't actually wear these shoes today because I don't like heels (I'm 5'10" and 2 1/2" heels make me a tad too tall for my comfort!), but I thought they looked cute with the outfit.

Blouse - Kohl's
Tank - Justice
Denim Gored Skirt - Christopher and Banks
Shoes - Mudd
Necklaces - Various places
Earrings - Liz's Fineries

Feelin' Feminine Spring Challenge - Day 2

The Feelin' Femine challenge is a challenge to wear a skirt or dress every day for 7 days. It is hosted by Bramblewood Fashion and started by Feelin' Feminine.

Sorry for the lackluster quality of pictures today. I took them late at night and then had to edit them to adjust lighting/quality on the computer.
I had to wear a somewhat practicle outfit (no long, flowy skirts) because I was working today...which means I chase around an energetic two-year-old all day. I've been wearing knee-length skirts with bike shorts underneath for the past few days because they are a lot cooler when you're chasing that energetic two-year-old outside in 80-degree weather. :-)

Wish I had gotten a closeup of the detail of the tunic shirt. The neck and straps are braided knit with little gold chain braided into it. It's really cute. :-)

Outfit:
Denim skirt - Old Navy
Black shirt - Kohl's
Turqouise tunic shirt with chain detail - Kohl's

Okay, so I forgot to take a picture of the outfit I wore yesterday...I did wear a skirt though, I swear!! :-)
I do have a picture of the skirt though from a previous fashion week, it's this one from this post...I also wore a camo green tank top and a white-turned-off-white blouse open over it, and regular flip-flops.

Shirt: Justice
Blouse: Kohl's
